Remembering Scotland At War is led by Museums Galleries Scotland and is funded by the Big Lottery Fund. It is part of a larger initiative, Their Past Your Future UK, involving a partnership of: the Imperial War Museum; Museums, Libraries and Archives England; Northern Ireland Museum Council; National Library of Wales; and Museums Galleries Scotland.

Remembering Scotland At War has worked closely with Learning and Teaching Scotland to ensure that the final website meets one of its key criteria: to be an effective learning resource in Scottish schools.
