Community Frequently Asked Questions

The Community area for Remembering Scotland At War has been created using Ning software.

"Ning" is Chinese for "peace".

Wikipedia suggests that: "Ning competes with social sites like MySpace, Facebook and BigTent by appealing to people who want to create their own social networks around specific interests with their own visual design, choice of features and member data. The central feature of Ning is that anyone can create their own social network for a particular topic or need, catering to specific membership bases."

Ning is advertised as "So easy, it just works" and we hope you have this same experience!

I've noticed a factual error in the Community area. What can I do?

All of the information in the Community area is based on people's experiences and their recollections of those experiences. You are encouraged to comment on any images, albums, profiles and other messages. It is the responsibility of the original submitter to update any factual information.

What material can I download and for what purposes?

All material in the Community area is downloadable by anyone using the site and may be used for any purpose. However, please be respectful of any downloaded material, including the people and themes it may portray.

I still have a question!

If you have any queries about the Community area, post a message in the Forum. The Administrator or another Community member will be able to help you. Alternatively, contact the Remembering Scotland At War Project Manager via the Contact page in the Main Website.
