The achievements of young people in protecting Scotland's heritage are being recognised in a national awards scheme.
Historic Scotland is asking communities to nominate those who have "worked passionately to supoort and promote their heritage", as part of this year's Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards.
Now in its fifth year, the awards aim to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Scotland's young people. They cover a wide range of categories, including environment, democracy, arts and sport.
Last year, 18-year-old Jason Douglas, of Blairgowrie, won the heritage award after recording the oral history of members of the Black Watch who had fought in the Second World War, the Falklands, Bosnia and Iraq.
He interviewed 30 veterans, pulling together more than 60 hours of video. Jason's contribution is now part of an online resource for schools, "Their Past Your Future", which explores the impact of 20th-century conflict on people in the UK.
The closing date for nominations is February 18. An awards ceremony will be held in Glasgow on April 29.
